Rob and I met in March 2010. I was in a softball league and our team was looking for new
players for the upcoming season. Rob lived down the street from me (although we had never
met until then) so our team captain asked if I could pick him up and bring him to the tryouts.
I did and we were instantly smitten with one another. A few care rides back and forth to
the softball fields and we were the best of friends. And that friendship turned into a romance.
Along the way, Rob shared his love of traveling with me and we took a couple of amazing
vacations together, most notably in Lake Como, Italy and backpacking in the Grand Canyon.
We bought a house in June 2013 and in April 2014, we adopted our daughter, Katherine.
